Mental Health Friendly Writer
Erik is a poet, author, and playwright living in Seattle, but whose work is featured all over the US. With a focus on mental health and self discovery, his work features themes of suicide, substance abuse, hope, and redemption. His most recent book “Before/After” features a literary view of mental health before and after a life changing suicide attempt in 2019.
His work features a classic style with a familiar, modern zest…finding the hope, humor, and love in the darkest stories. Pulling from his own struggle with alcoholism and depression, Erik writes with raw emotion to hopefully teach you that you’re not alone, and that we’re all worthy of our lives and capable of rebirth.
Erik is part of the Victorian Horror Troupe Phantasmagoria, and has written a half dozen stories (or Penny Dreadfuls) which have been featured in their performances. His writing has been described as “horror with heart.”
So reach out to me (surprise, I was writing in the third person the whole time!) if you’d like to work together, you want to carry either of my two books, or you’re just generally interested in what I’m working on next. Looking forward to hearing from you!
